The colors of autumn continue to inspire me. Adding some wonderful dye painted fabric I did ages ago, gave a jolt of pattern and color to the excitement of building this composition.
The studio is up for grabs these days with fabric and yarn strewn all over ever surface. The colder weather somehow gets my butt in gear and I can't wait to get started on something, early.
And I am feeling that soon I will have to start making cookies, my one must-do for the holidays. My sister and I were going to make tamales after Thanksgiving, but she is working so hard, I thought it would be best if she rested on her days off. Joann Fabrics where she works is hustle bustle every day til Christmas.
A note on yesterday's video. I was asked for information about my work and methods by a student doing a paper for her course at City and Guilds in Sussex GB. So I googled myself and found a bunch of stuff I didn't know existed. I knew about the PBS show, but didn't know it would be cut into segments on You Tube. Luckily, I found that too. It made me realize how gray my hair has gotten and how round the rest of me is now!
Well, that sent me to YouTube to watch some videos. I know I've seen the 2014 AQS video but it was fun to watch it again! I LOVE the "logo" quilt!
