My chair and ottoman allow me a resting/reading/computering space, while enjoying birdwatching in the garden.
I have pretty good feng shui, and can see the doorway from my workstation, and my sewing table.
I've since moved my sewing table to the opposite corner of the room. The design wall is on the western side and the sun shines on it most of the day, giving me natural light for photographing quilts. And I have a big LED light in the center of the room, which is perfect for working underneath. My fabric is out of the way of direct sunlight on the eastern wall, reducing the fading effect of too much sun.
While cleaning out a few drawers I found several stashes of soap slivers which I use to mark fabric, but really, how many do I need? I tossed out half of these.
much too neat, lol, all that bright white - what a contrast to your colorful work
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Mel! I don't have quite as much feng shui, but my new studio is much more convenient and attractive than the original one, so I really appreciate a good work space. Love your view!
ReplyDeleteHow utterly beautiful and yet, functional.
ReplyDeleteI can hear the choirs of angels singing!!! This is gloriously open and bright and functional, you're gonna make some fabulous art in here!!!!
ReplyDeleteI echo Candy's comment. "died and gone to heaven" also came to mind!! Lovely view out the window too you had a TV in your studio before, didn't you?

ReplyDeleteI deleted the first comment as I had "loved the food" darned spell things!!
What a wonderful place! I'm not sure I would get much done, with that great view and bright sunshine!
ReplyDeleteLove your space. You are amazing in creating beautiful spaces.
ReplyDeleteStudio looks great. Why not make new soap from the old slivers - it's easy I do it often. Just choose a tin put the slivers in with some boiling water and then press the slivers down with something heavy- the boiling water softens the slivers and the weight forms a lovely new bar
ReplyDeleteYour new space looks wonderful-light, airy, spacious and organized. Happy Creating!
ReplyDeleteThe new studio looks great! S bright and fresh! Now you need to dirty it up a bit by creating something wonderful!
