When I say Shopcoat, I mean that I will wear this in my sewing room, and kitchen as a semi-apron, in the garden to keep my shirts clean, and just around the house as my go to uniform/robe. It'll be washed often and get plenty of wear. It's made of Waverly cotton duck and the camellia print is one that caught my eye last year when I bought the fabric at Walmart.
Three pockets make this a very useful garment.
This turned out great! I love the springy print! I need to make myself a studio coat, I'm constantly finding paint or bleach on my clothes!
ReplyDeleteLooks great - and wonderful fabric!
ReplyDeleteYour ability to alter patterns and come up with something great amazes me! I love your shop coat! I made a pattern for an apron off an old apron from the 40's and made a bunch in all kinds of different prints. I wear them all the time around the house and yard because I attract dirt and mess like a magnet. Also, the pockets are great for keeping things in, like my iPod, so I can listen to books as I work or play.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the pattern number! I just scored this pattern in new condition off of ebay for $4.99 with free shipping! Thanks for the great idea of having a shop coat.
