I wanted this elegant looking tunic shirt, but didn't want to pay $109 for it, and went back to my shirt patterns and dinked around with length, and size until I thought I was on track. Putting it together and trying it on proved it. Yes! I finally have the shape and fit correct and I am on my way to more of these.
Love the tunic. I'm always on the lookout for the 'perfect' shirt/tunic. Would you share what pattern you started with?
ReplyDeleteThanks.
The pattern I used is out of print, but there are other plain shirt patterns which can be altered in length to work.
DeleteGreat looking tunic
ReplyDeleteDid you dye your own fabric for the tunic?
ReplyDeleteNO I didn't dye that fabric. It's some batik I have had in my stash for centuries. ha!
DeleteLove it! And so glad you're back with updates of your house, Dave and the doggies, and the garden. Must tell you I was delighted to run into you in the entrance to the Chattanooga show, because when I tried several times to go around to your exhibit to visit, there were lots of people already there. Glad it was such a great reception, the display was wonderful. I've been a fan for years online, but to see the artistry in person is pretty dern awesome! OK, back to lurking, waving downhill from Crossville :-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shirt! It looks comfy.
