C'est Fini

Tony the pug couldn't be happier to have a big soft grassy yard to run about in. Ditto that for me and Dave. What a huge change.
I'll report that I was a lot more help on day two than I was on day one, and now have called a moratorium on manual labor. Officially too old for this stuff.

We speculated that we would not have enough sod to cover the area, or way too much, but it turned out that we had EXACTLY the right amount. Neither of us are math wizards, so our calculations were suspect. Miracle of miracles.
And now to vacuum and wash the floors. Yay!!!

  2. I used to work for a nursery that sold sod, and I know from customer stories that sodding a whole lawn is nowhere near as easy as it looks. Congratulations for finishing in two days. It looks GREAT!

  5. What a huge job for the two of you! You can eat extra pecan pie now after working off those calories. Your yard now looks "ordinary"- very saleable. And your new clothes are so practical and stylish. Thanks for continuing to write blogs- your work is so inspiring. Happy belated Thanksgiving.

  6. It looks great. You both must be exhausted! I bet that will help with the house sale. Congratulations on down sizing and your upcoming move.

  9. I had missed the post about you moving and thought.... HUH???? This doesnt seem to be "you". Now it makes sense. Love the floor plan of your new place. Will there be room for a garden? yard? troughs...now that you've given them away? We havent moved in 25 years, and I'd love to downsize to about 1800 sq ft, from 3000! We also just got down NINE huge Rubbermaid tubs of Christmas stuff. I need to stop the madness and.....SIMPLIFY!! Happy Thanksgiving!
