Aquablocks and Baby Cardi

Aquablocks. Hand dyed and commercial cottons, machine pieced and machine quilted. 46x58"

I made this top in our old house in Hixson and never quilted it, until now. It was a pre-Bosna design, my first leaning toward minimalism.

My sister gave me these clips and now I wonder how I lived without them. Just fabulous.

On the knitting front, a second, slightly larger baby cardi, pink merino dk. Those eyelets look crooked, but it's really the bad photographer, me.

  1. I love your little baby vests--is there a pattern that you used, or are you just creating it?! I've never knit anything other than socks, and would like to start with something small before I move on to adult sized!

  2. I love the quilt and am especially impressed by your quilting--beautiful? Your knitting projects have me wishing I could knit something other than scarves.

  3. LOVE love love the Aquablocks. Might be my favorite Bosna style so far. Your talent/color sense never ceases to amaze me.
BTW, Happy New Year! I hope it is a healthy one for you and those you love.

  4. Love the colours Melody, and the quilting work is inspiring, as usual. I bought some of those quilting clips (and in New Zealand they were very expensive) and found they didn't work for me, as I'm very left-handed, and I didn't have the strength or dexterity, to remove them as I sewed. So sad! A quilting friend was thrilled to get given them. No use to ms, unfortunately :-(_
