Topper and Dress

I bought this pattern without a plan of what I was going to make from it. But yesterday I was moving some of my linen blends and saw that I had teal. The teal thread was already in my serger, so why not use this? I added some teal wooly nylon in the upper looper so I could edge finish (the neckline) this fabric instead of hemming. I am sorta copying this fashion coat from the designer Holly Badgley   

 

This shortie dress is an elongation of a pullover top pattern which was a mix of two other patterns. I keep making things from it because it fits so well. The fabric is tie dyed cotton from Fabric.com.
