Happy July! My little water garden has its first lily bloom. I have two plants and the other is a white flowering specimen. Hoping to have it bloom soon.
And finally some nasturtiums have appeared. I plant them in every garden and usually have no trouble getting them to grow. Poor soil or rich, sun or shade, but it has been a struggle to keep these going. Only a few plants survived, despite having everything one needs to be happy. So I am celebrating the ones I have and glad to see the flowers.
Beautiful water lily, always love seeing these especially when they cover the whole pond. Nasturtiums grow like wildfire in our garden, seed like crazy and there a few different colour combinations.
ReplyDeleteI love nasturtiums but didn’t have any luck with them in South Caroliniana. I thought maybe it was too hot and dry. I should try again in TN. As always, Mel, you are an inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI grew nasturtiums easily in Fl, but not in NC. Love the peppery blossoms in salad. My kids thought I was nuts!
ReplyDeleteIf I keep my nasturtiums in the shade and water daily, I can keep them alive through the summer here in South Texas. They flourish in the early spring and late fall cooler temps. But I love them, they are so happy looking and the circular leaves are unique!
